When I joined CEMEX, I was looking for an opportunity to work for a large company, near my hometown, where I could use my accounting experience to make a significant impact on the operations.

CEMEX is the most diverse company with which I have ever worked. When we take the time to learn from one another, that is a very powerful asset. In addition, CEMEX is constantly changing in an effort to be better than we were the day before. That helps assure that we will continue to be a strong global force many years into the future.

Every day I team with CEMEX employees from other departments. During that interaction, I learn about their jobs and what I can do to make them more efficient. If I understand the roles and challenges of our other team members, then I can help add value to our results at the end of the day.

In addition to the people, there is a large variety of work involved with this job, which never gives you time to become bored. The Information Administrator position must interact with and understand many other departments such as production, maintenance, sales, procurement, and environmental to be successful. I find that challenge makes my job very interesting.
